families find answers to caring for their aging parents. Her desire is to educate and coach. She brings energy,
compassion, and inspiration to assist you in finding your own answers. Sue wants to encourage and empower

Sue Mutziger is a family therapist who has been employed in the mental health profession for fifteen years. She has counseled families in the areas of addiction, domestic violence, youth, and a variety of family issues. During her years as a therapist, Sue has become aware of the issues and concerns that families face relevant to helping their elders make important life decisions. Sue wants to assist families find solutions to these multiple and complex issues and believes that education is the first step.

A solid educational background for Sue has helped prepare her for work with seniors and their families. Sue's educational credits include a Bachelor of Arts degree in social work. She has a Master’s degree in counseling. Sue’s career as a counselor has allowed her insight in to what is on the hearts and minds of many American families: growing concern over issues facing aging parents and how to best assist them. With much focus being on health care, the right to autonomy, and the Baby Boomer generation upon us, Sue believes everyone must be diligent in finding what is right for them. She believes that through education, coaching, and self-discovery this can be accomplished. With that goal in mind, Rest Assured was founded.

Sue’s maturity, knowledge, and years of providing counsel to families has afforded her valuable experience as a counselor. She is also an experienced caregiver. Sue has accrued over 10,000 hours of service as a caregiver. She has worked for a national home health care agency caring for seniors in their homes. She has also provided care to family members. Additionally, Sue has been employed at several state agencies for the disabled. There she has provided numerous hours of personal care to the physically disabled and mentally challenged. Her hands-on experience brings depth and insight to those seeking guidance on a variety of caregiving issues.

Understanding the needs and issues of the elderly is key; knowing how to help is its equal. Sue believes that her background and experience provide the insight and knowledge that is necessary to address the multiple issues that seniors face. Her concern and compassion for the elderly is a constant: she wants to ensure that their dignity and pride will be maintained. Because Sue understands the dynamics that often exists amongst and between family members she believes she is prepared in knowing how to help families.

Rest Assured was launched with one purpose in mind. Sue believes that with education, coaching, encouragement, and a plan… peace of mind can be established. It is not easy finding answers to complicated issues. However, being prepared by having timely and accurate information can be the first step. It is Sue's hope that as a result of the seminar a more effective approach to problem solving can be found.
